            Classes
All classes are held at the CCC shooting complex, Navasota Tx.
Please note that there is an additional $20 range fee upon arrival.

Texas LTC

This is the Texas license to carry class.  The LTC class consist of 4 hours of class room training with a written exam and shooting proficiency test.  There is a minimum student requirement of 5 for us to hold this class. If you apply for a class and it has not reached the minimum student requirement , you will automatically be placed on the next class roster. This is a great option for groups or family members that would like to take the class together. 

We also offer the shooting proficiency test  for students that have taken the online classroom training, please contact us to schedule the proficiency test.

For classroom we recommend items for note taking. 

For the proficiency test you will need a semi auto handgun or revolver.

Minimum caliber is .32

50 rounds of reliable ammunition.

Eye and ear protection.

Range appropriate clothing consisting of pants and closed toed shoes. 

CCW Mechanics.

CCW Mechanics is a deep dive into developing efficient gun handling and accuracy at speed by taking training concepts from practical shooting sports and applying them to the defensive context. 

This course is designed to teach you how to train, so that once you leave the class you can continue to develop your skills as a defensive shooter.

 

Blocks of instruction include:

How to effectively conceal a handgun on your waistline.

Gear considerations.

How to draw a handgun from concealment and safely reholster.

Draw stroke efficiency.

Presentation efficiency.

Proper grip and grip pressure.

Stance.

How tension is our enemy.

Target focus.

Shooting at speed.

Recoil management. 

Trigger manipulation for aggressive shooting.

Target transitions,

Diagnosing shooting deficiencies.

One handed draw and shooting.

Intro to retention shooting.

How to dry fire practice at home.  

What you need:

Center fire handgun.

250 rounds of reliable ammunition, more is better though. 

eye and ear protection.

Sturdy belt.

Inside the waistband or outside the waistband holster with cover garment  (serpa holsters not allowed).

2-3 Magazines.

Clothing you would wear any normal day while concealed carrying ( weather appropriate).

Close toed shoes.

CCW Dynamics

This class is a continuation of CCW Mechanics. This course will focus on taking the skills students learned in the previous class and incorporate movement, use of cover and shooting at longer distances. This is an advanced course and applicants must have taken CCW mechanics to attend. 

Topics covered include but are not limited to:

Footwork.

Getting of the X.

Shooting while moving.

Moving then shooting.

Reloading on the move.

Use of cover and concealment.

Shooting from multiple positions. 

Shooting from extended distances. 

What you need:

Eye and ear protection.

Center fire handgun.

250 rounds of reliable ammunition, more is better though. 

Sturdy belt.

inside or outside the waistband holster 

( no serpa holsters allowed).

2-3 magazines. 

Clothing you would wear while conceal carrying any normal day ( weather appropriate).

Close toed shoes.

Basic Handgun.

Our Basic Handgun course is designed to provide an introduction to firearms for those who have little to no knowledge in this area. We will cover everything you need to know about the fundamentals of firearms, including basic handgun safety and operation. Our experienced instructors will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to be a safe and responsible gun owner.

What to expect: 

Intro to firearms safety and handling. 

Loading and unloading.

Ammunition selection.

Fundamentals of pistol marksmanship.

How to safely clear malfunctions.

What you will need:

Eye and ear protection.

Personal handgun, or contact us for loaners.

50 rounds of ammunition.

1-2 magazines.

Range and weather appropriate clothing. 

CCW Red Dot Pistol Mechanics.

Red dots are more common and popular than ever on defensive handguns. This class follows the same skill development concepts as CCW Mechanics  to give students a true understanding of what's possible with a handgun by building efficiency, speed and accuracy with a red dot.

 

What you need:

Eye and ear protection.

Center fire handgun.

250 rounds of reliable ammunition, more is better though. 

Sturdy belt.
